Major Edwin L. Harris’ plantation,
on the night of the 12th in ft. two
Negroes j a fellow by the name of
JOE, and his wife named CHAR
LOTTE. They were bought by
the laid Edwin L. Harris in Elbert
county of a Mr. Nathan Childs and ‘
fold to me by laid Harris; they
are notorious runaways and will no
doubt attempt topafs themfdves as
free people, and perhaps will try to
go out of this ftate. The fellow
had on anew cotton fifirf, panta
loons of the lame, and a bath coat
ing over coat, his toes on kis left
foot entirely off, is about 5 feet 6
inches high, well made, and when
Ipcken to fmiles, is remarkable for
his read it it ft in making an anfwer,
is uncommonly fenfiblr, and for his

his back, i lit wife, Charlotte, is a
