Jackson Superior Court, Feb. Term, 1827.
RULE NISI.
O N the application of L. F. E. Dugas, shewing
• to the Court, that William Edmonson, on the
•23th of January, 1824, made his certain Mortgage of
that date to your applicant, whereby to secure to
him the sum of One Hundred Dollars, on or before
’the 23th of July, 1824, he, the said William, Mortgag
ed to your applicant the following described Tract of
Land, to wit: lying and being in the County of Jack-
son and State of Georgia, containing one hundred
one and one half acres, being half of a grant made to
Elisha Lake of two hundred and three acres, the
half butting and bounding as follows: beginning on
a white oak corner, on the branch on Jonathan
Smith’s line, running north east to a pine comer on
said Smith's line, thence South to a white oak cor
ner on the branch on John Smith’s line, thence South
west to a post oak corner on said Smith’s line, thence
on Burgin’s line, to the beginning corner. And that
there is due on said Mortgage the sum of One Hun
dred Dollars with interest from the 2&th of July,
1824 ; and praying the foreclosure of the Equity of
Redemption of, in and to said Mortgaged premises.—
On motion, Oidered, Tnat the said Mortgager pay
into Court the principal and interest due on said
Mortgage, together with the cost, within twelve
months from this date, else the Equity of Redemp
tion of, in and to-said Mortgaged premises will be
t henceforth forever barred and forclosed.—And it is
further ordered, That a copy of this Rule be publish
ed in some public gazette of this State or served
upon the Mortgager according to the statute in such
cases made and provided.

Joseph Little, vs. Benjamin G. Sims, Darid Witt, and
Joshua Roberts—Bill for discover}*, relief, &c.
I T being made appear that Benjamin G. Sims, one
of the defendaptg/ih this case, resides out of the
county of Jackson,—It is therefore ordered, that the
said Benjamin do appear and demur, plead, or an
swer to said bill within sixty days after the next
(August) term of said court: and that a copy of this
order be served on said"Benjamin at least sixty days
before the time for said appearance expires, or that
this order be published once a^month for three
months, in one of the public gazettes of this state
previous to the expiration of said time.

Court of Ordinary, September Term, 1827.
T liE petition of Kirkham McEwen showeth,
that John Butler, deceased, heretofore, in his
life time, to wit, on the 7th day of February, 1825,
did make and execute his certain Bond in writing in
tho penalty of Two Hundred Dollars, conditioned to
make titles to Kirkham McEwen to a certain, tract
' or parcel of land, a part of lot No. 264, in the 5th
district of Gwinnett county, containing Fifty Acres,
(which Bond is annexed to said petition ana filed in
the Clerk’s office) and lias prayed this Court to di
rect the Executor and Executrix of said deceased to
make a good and sufficient warrantee title to said
tract or parcel of land, according to tho tenor of said
bondTherefore, ordered, That this rule be pub
lished in one of the public gazettes of this state, and
in the public places of this county for three months,
and unless cause be shewn to the contrary at the
next Tend of this Court, after said publication, the
said Executor arid Executrix will be ordered to exe
cute said tities to said Kirkham McEwen, for said
tract or parcel of land.
