OF THE
STATE OF GEOUGIA.

1 PROPOSE to publish A NEW MAP OF THE
STATE, ns soon as live hundred subscribers car
be obtained. Presuming that a Map of the State, re
presenting all the New Territory acquired by tho diffe
rent Treaties with the Indians, would he very accepta
ble to the public. I have determined to embark in the
undertaking; and as soon as five hundred subscribers
are received, the Original Map will be drafted, and pla
ced in tho hands of the Engraver. Copies will be deli
vered to subscribers at the expiration of one year from
this date, if that patronage is afforded which is solicit
ed. It will require three months to prepare the Origi
nal for the Engraver, and about five months to engravo
it. Those to whom subscription papers are forwarded,
will please return them at the end of three months.
Copies neatly varnished, coloured, and fixed on Rol
lers, will be delivered to subscribers at Six Dollars, and
to non-subscribers at Eight Dollars. In this Map, the
new counties, together with the several districts, new
county towns, public roads, and other remarkable ob
jects, will be delineated w ith mathematical accuracy.
The patronage of a liberal and enlightened public is
most respectfully solicited; and thcsubscribcr assures
those who may patronize the Work, that it will be ex
ecuted in the first style of elegance and taste, and that
it will be founded on the most authentic deruincnts in
the Surveyor General's Office. The plan will be of flic
same size as that published by my father, and will be
platted by a scale of eight miles to the inch.
