Superior Court, April Term, 1830.
RULE NISI.
O N reading and filing the petition of the Trustees
of the Uni versify of Georgia, for the use of the
' Ccntrtff Bank of Georgia, it appears that Caleb Barton,
heretofore, to wit: On the Twenty-eighth day of May
Eighteen Hundred and sixteen, made, executed ami
delivered to the petitioners,-his* entire Deed of Mort
gage, bearing date the day and year aforesaid, by
which mortgage a certain Lot or percel of Land, situ
ate, lying and being in the Five Thousand Acre Traci
of Land in the county and State aforesaid, on the wa
ters of Slioa! Creek, containing ono Hundred Acres,
more or Ic3s, known and distinguished by a late rc-sur-
vcy in the Five Thousand Acre Tract as aforesaid, by
No. 13, was conveyed to tho petitioners for the better
securing the payment of a certain Bond, made by the
said Caleb, William Cawthon and Adam Loony, bear
ing even date with said mortgage, and payable l" your
petitioners, for the sum of Eight. Hundred and Forty
Dollars, conditioned for the payment of Four Hundred
and Twenty Dollars, in the manner following, to wit:
the sum of one Hundred and Five Dollars to be paid on
the twenty-fifth of December, Eighteen Hundred and
seventeen; the fiyther sum ofmoney last aforesaid, on
the twenty-fifth of December next,thereafter following;
the further sum of inaney last aforesaid, on the twenty-
fifth of December next, thereafter, following, and the
further sum of money last aforesaid ; the residue, on
the 25th of Dcccmher, Eighteen Hundred and twenty.
And it further appearing that there is now ducon sold
Bond and mortgage, the sum oft wo Hundred and Fifty
five Dollars and thirty-five cents of the principal, with
interest thereon from the twentieth of October, Eigh
teen Hundred and twenty-three. On motion of coun
cil for said petitioner, It is ordered by the Court, that
unless the amount of the principal, interest and costs,
due on said Bond and mortgage be paid into the Clerk’s
office of this Court within twelve months, that the
equity of redemption in and to said mortgaged pre
mises,oc thenceforth and forever barred and foreclosed.
And it is further ordered, that a Copy of this Rale
he published once a month for six months in some one
of thepublic Gazettes of this State, or bo personally
served on the said Caleb Barton, three mouths beforo
tho expiration of this Rule.

T HE Examination ofthe Senior Class in Franklin
College, preparatory to receiving their first de

Barents, Guardians and the friends of the Institution,
and particularly the Trustees, are invited to at tend.
The examination of the three lower classos on the
studies of the present term, will commence on Wed
nesday the 28th of July- The Freslunan Class will be
examined on Wednesday, the Sophomore on Thursday,
and the Junior on Friday. And tho Faculty believe it
would be very usefulfor ill Parents and Guardians, as
far as in their power, to attend these examinations of
their sons or wards.
On Saturday the 3]si July candidate* for admission
in!o College, will bn examined, and the Fneully wtsli
all, os far as practicable, who intend entering the Col
lege the next session, to he present and to be examin
ed at that time.
The public commencement will take place In the
College Chapel on Wednesday the 4lli of August. The
