LEGAL NOTICES.

Superior Court, April Term, 1830.
RULE NISI.
O N reading and filing the petition of the Trustees
of the University of Georgia, for the use of the
Central Bank of Georgia, it appears that Caleb Barton,
heretofore, to wit: On the Twenty-eighth day of May
Eighteen Hundred and sixteen, made, executed vd
delivered to the petitioners, his entire Deed of Mort
gage, bearing date the day and year aforesaid, by
which mortgage a certain Lot or percel of Land, situ
ate, lying and being in the Five Thousand Acre Tract
of Land in the county and State aforesaid, on the wa
ters of Shoal Creek, containing one Hundred Acres,
more or less,known and distinguished by a late re-sur-
vey in tho Five Thousand Aero Tract as aforesaid, by
No. 13, was conveyed to the petitioners for the belter
securing the payment of a certain Bond, made by the
said Caleb, William Cawthon and Adam Loony, bear
ing even date with said mortgage, and payable to your
jetitioners, for the sum of Eight Hundred and Forty
Dollars,conditioned fi*r the payment of Four Hundred
and Twenty Dollars, in the manner following, to wit:
the sum of ono Hundred and Five Dollars to he paid on
the twenty-fifth of December, Eighteen Hundred and
seventeen; the further sum of money last aforesaid, on
J lie twenty-fifth of December next,thereafter following;
the further sum of money last aforesaid, on the twenty-
fifth of December next, thereafter, following, and the
further surn of money last aforesaid ; the residue, on
the 25thnf Dccemhci, Eighteen Hundred and twenty.
And it further appearing that there is now due on said
Bond and mortgage, the sum oft wo Hundred and Fifty
five Dollars and thirty-five cents of tho principal, with
interest thereon from the twentieth of October, Eigh
teen Hundred and twenty-three. On motion of coun
cil for said petitioner, It is ordered by the Court, that
unless the amotmtof the principal, interest and costs,
due on said Bond and mortgage he paid into the Clerk’s
o(K«o <if llaaa Court within twolvo months. *hnt the
equity of redemption in and to said mortgaged pre
mises,oe thenceforth and forever barred and foreclosed.
And it is further ordered, that a Copy « f this Rule
be published once a month for six months in some one
of the public Gazettes of this State, or be personally
served on tho said Caleb Barton, three mouths before
the expiration of this Rule.

deceased, did in his life-time execute unto George
\V. Meriwether a bond for titles to one-half of a certain
tract of land, situate, lying and being in the county of
Clark, formerly owned hy Harmon Runnals, on the
road leading to Calham’s ferry, and which was pur
chased jointly by the said William Meriwether and
George W. Meriwether, containing five hundred and
eighty-one acres, more nr less, and the titles of said
laid being in the said William Meriwether, and that the
said William Meriwether has departed this life without
making titles to said one-half of said tract af land
agreeable to said bond—And it further appearing to
the Court thnt James Meriwether is the administrator
of the said William Meriwether—It is on motion
dered, that all persons having any valid objections to
said administrator executing titles to said George W.
Meriwether for one-half of said tract of land, be and
anpear at the next Court of Ordina^ frr said countv,
which shall set next aPer the publishing of this mle.
then and there to make them known, as in default
thereof this Court w ill then and there proceed to pass
a rule absolute,directing said administrator to execute
titles to said one-half of said tract of land, agreeable
to the statute in such cases made and provided.
And it is further ordered, that this rule be published in
one of the public Gazettes of this state once a month

T HE petition of-Jonathan D. Chastain sheweth, that
Burgis Tilley in his life timo executed to Jonathan
D. Chastain hia bond for titles to lot No. 4G in the 10th
district of formerly Troup, now Meriwether county,
and that the said Burgis hath departed this life without
executing titles to the same, and that jour petitioner is
the rightlul owner of said land, and that Stephen Tilley,
administrator, and Nancy Tilley, administratrix, are
the administrator and administratrix on the estate of
the said Burgis—
It is on motion ordered, that the said Stephen nnd
Nancy, administrator and administratrix as aforesaid,
execute to the said Jonathan D. Chastain good and le
gal titles to said lot of land, agreeably to the terms of
said bond, unless good cause be shown to the contrary
in three months; and that this order be published in
terms of tho law.
