r B!HE annual Examination of the Students of this
fcl Institution will cominonco on Thursday the 17tl»
nut. and cloao on the 18th, with an exhibition a» can
dlelight. Parents and Guardians and all friends to l.i-
lire, are requested to attend and witness the pro
gress of the Students. The Board of Trustees feel
much gratified m being able to state to the public, that
they have engaged the services of their old tenrhern,
Mr. A. II. Scott and Lady, whose excellent characters
teachers aro ho well known in Georgia and the ad
joining slams, as to need no recommendation on our
part to induce Par-nts and Guardians to entrust the
education of their children and wards to their care and
Instruction.
If ability,faithfulness and long experience would en
title any Tuuchors to the confidence and patronage of
an enlighfftnrd community, Mr.Scott and Lady are cer
tainly entitled to the entire confidence and most liber
al patronage of an enlightened people; and we can with
confidence recommend parents (who wish their child
ren to enjoy tho very superior advantages of this Aca
demy,) to move to, and take up their residence lu Sa
lem;'for in point of health and morals, ilia not surpas
sed by any village in the state. _
Board can bo procured Irom eight to nine debars per
month; washing, lodging and fuel included. Ten or
twelve students cun Lu accommodated with board,
washing and lodging, in the family of the Rector, and
in many of the tno» ; respectable private families in the
village —and moreover, to inspire confidence in parents
who may wish to come to this village for tho purpose
of ednenting their children, the trustees have engaged
tho service* of Mr. Scott and Lady us teachers for the
term of five years, from the first of January next. The
exercises of the Academy for the ensuing year, will
commence or. the firat Tuesdav in January. Tuition at

Teachers Wanted
4 S the present . lector oflhc Do Kalb county Aca
demy, Mr. KIDDOO, declines continuing longer
than thu present term in flint capacity, the Trustees
are desirous of making narlv arrangements for employ
ing both a nale and a female Teacher, lo take the
charge oflhc Institution on the 1st of January, 1832.
They would prefer a married gentleman whoso lady
night bo willing and competent to instruct in the Fc
nals Department. The object of tho Board i» lo oh-
ain the nervine* of such persons as intend making a
business of teaching for u number of years Arrange
ment* havo been made for supplying tho achoyl with
Maps, Glooes ana other apparatus ; and the Truster»
arc determined lo afford as great inducements, to par
ents and guaidians lo patronize this seminary, as can
be held out by any other in this section of the country.
The Board would have no hositaricy in recommend*
ing the village of Decatur in which tho Academy ia si
