in the Executive Office, shewing the actings
and doings of tho Superintendents of the hands
on the roads, togothor with any representa
tions made to the Executive on the subjoct,”
tias been received und considered.
It is desirable and proper that tho informa
tion called for should be fully before the Le
gislature, and 1 have every disposition to com
ply with the requisitions contained in the re
solution. However, 1 find upon examination
that the extensive correspondence, various re
ports, and other communications embraced in
(he subject, nre so voluminous as to render a
compliance with the resolution impracticable.
Nevertheless, any information which this of
fice contains, will be promptly rendered, and
eon at any time be obtained m any practical
mode which tho Legislature may please to di
rect. WILSON LUMPKIN.

The Governor also transmitted to the Le
gislature the report ol Stephen F. Miller, Esq
the Agent appointed for tho State, to com
plete n settlement which tho Commissioners

Monday, Nov. 21.—Several bills were re
potted and read the 1st time.
Mr. Branham had leave to report, insinnter,
a bill providing for u Convention to reviso and
amend the 3d, 4th and 7th sections of the 1st
-article of the Constitution of this State, which
was read the firet timo.
On motion of Mr. Muncrief, Resolved, that
the joint Judiciary committee he requested to

Mr. Ilnrlbw, from tho rommitteo on tho
State of the Republic, to whom was referred
the documents iu relation to the renting the
improvements in the Cherokee Territory, re
ported :
That'it appears that the whole amount for
which tho several improvements rented by
the State's Agent in tho Cherokee Territory,
fs §7570 ; and it further oppeina thut Mis Ex
cellency the Governor allowed tho said agent
fo retain for his servicos, 10 per cent, on said
amount, which commissions of the saiJ agent
amount to tho sum of 3750 70 cents ; but in-
•asmuch as it does not appear from the accom
panying documents whni amount ol notes hns
been deposited in the Treasurer’s office by
(lie State’s Agent, as directed by law, which
notes have since been transferred to the Cen
tral Bank, by virtue of n resolution to that ef
fect, your committee beg leave to propose the
following resolution:
Resolved, That the officers of the Central
Bank of Georgia, inform both branches of the
Legislature, tho amount of notes received
from the Treasurer of this Slate, lor Ihe rent
of certain improvements in tho Cherokee I or
atory, according to the provisions of an net
passed Dec. 22, 1830.

State, to redeem their bills or notes with ape-
‘ cie, upon preaenlation, and demand of specie.
A communication was received from the
Coveruor
$100 of the nett cash value of tho property
wliieli such citizens may hold and possess,
whether in his own right or the right of any
other person whatever.
A return required on oath of tho cash value
of the properly he may have, or hold in Ins
possession, in his own right, or m his repre
sentative capacity, so far no such properly
consists of lands in this State, and lots
m cities, towns and villages in this Statu, neat
cattle above 20 in number, horses, inule-sboalH
for the transportation of produce, printing pres
ses, plonsure carriages, negroes, bank stock,
slock in trade, cash, Bonds, notes, judgments,
executions, ntorlgnges, open accounts, or any
Boston and Stale of Massachusetts ; or who
shall arrest and bring lu trial under the laws
of this State, any other person or persons who
shall utter, publish or circulate within the lim
its of this State, said paper called the Libera
tor, or anv other paper, circular, pamphlet, let
ter or address ot a seditious charuder—And
that his Excellency the Governor is hcrebv
authorised and requested to issue his warrutil
upon the Treasury for said sum of —— thou
sand dollars, m favor ot any peison or persons
who shall have arrested and brought to trial
under the laws of tins State, the Editor or
Publisher of the Liberator ; or who shsll have
arrested and brought to trinl under the laws
of this State, any other person or persons who
shall utter, publish or circulate within the lim
its of this Slate, said paper i-nllnd the Libera
tor, or «uoy other paper, circular, pamphlet,
letter nr address of a seditious character ; and
that these resolutions be inserted m the ap
propriation act.
And resolved further, That Uia Excellency
the Governor cause the foregoing resolutions
to he published in the public Journals of this
•Slate, and such other papers as ho mav think
proper, and pay for the publication thereof,
out of the contingent fund.

Coronation.—One of the ceremonies per
formed at the late coronation, was as follows :
Sonin ladies of honour opened the dress of
the Queen, made hare her bosom, and then
one ol the hig wigs enme op with some sweet
oil, that had boon made holy by some mum
mery, und ho daubed her majesty with it in
the litre of the assembly. This was wiped
