Highly Important!
This week is the first
week of our Superior Court—
and as most of the citizens of
the county will he iu town, we
have a special request to make
of the patrons of this paper.—
If you are in arrears, call and
pay up, and you ean then feel
that you have honestly dis
charged your duty. Recollect
what Paul said—“Owe no man
anything.”
If you have not paid in ad
vance, call and do so, and you
will save a dollar which is bet
ter saved than lost, as it surely
will be if you don’t pay up.
We hope our friends will call
on us. Our office is opposite
Price’s Old Stand.
A Proposition.
Some of our patrons want us
to get new type for this paper,
and we propose to do so, as
soon as we can get Two hun
dred new subscribers. This will
give Us a circulation that will
warrant the expense. Surely
almost all our present subscri
bers will try to help us attain
this object. Let every one that
can, get his neighbor to sub
scribe, and we shall soon have
the desired number.
In order to further this mat
ter we propose to give to any
subscriber who will get two
other cash subscribers, a copy
of the Life of jRobert Emmett*,
worth $1. For one of the same
sort, a copy of “Polly Peablos-
som's Wedding and other tales?
worth 50 cents.

Two Farms lor Sale!
T HF. undersigned, living nine miles north
east of Cassville, in one of the prettiest
valleys in Cherokee Georgia, offers the two
following farms for sale: the one on which
he resides, containing something near twelve
hundred acres, about four hundred and ftr-
ty of which are cleared, and in a high state
of cultivation, including orchards, grass
fields, jfcc. This farm is well improved, with
first rate buildings, a good two story dwel

two story brick hoiis'e, finished off likewise,

fertility of soil and convenience, cannot be
surpassed by any in the whole State; is as
well supplied with water as any situation
in the country—there being some ten or
twelve of the finest kind of springs on the
premises, (some two or three of which are
free-stone water,) besides many other ad

would readily strike the attention of an ob

His other farm is situated some three or
four miles north of the above, containing
Nine Hundred Acres,
about two hundred of which are cleared, powcis,
in fine cultivation, and under a good fence.
Buildings only moderate.
Any gentleman desiring rich Land, fine
spring water, a beautiful situation, and as
healthy a location as can be found South,
would be pleased with this place, There
are also several fine mill seats on both of the
above farms, and that convenient to water.
Terms to suit the times. .

of Liver Complaint, Jaundice, Dyspepsia,
Chronic or Nervous Debility, is deservqdLy
one of the most popular inedicjues of the
day. These.Bitters have been used by thou
sands, and a friend at our elbow says be him
self has received an effectual and permanent
cure of Liver Complaint from the use of this
remedy. We are convinced that, in the use
of these Bitters, the patient constantly gains
strength and vigor, a fact worthy of great
consideration. They nre pleasant in taste
and smell, and can be used by persons vyith
the most deljcatc Stomachs with safety, un
der any circumstances. We are speaking
from experience, and to the afflicted we ad
vise their use.

in cases of female weakness, As sueli is the

MOKE EVIDENCE
The 1 ' Philadelphia Saturday Gazette,” the
best family newspaper'..published in the Uny
ted States" The editor says of Dr. Hoof-
land’s German Bitters:
•• It is seldom that we recommend what are
termed Patent Medicines, to the confidence
and patronage of our readers; and therefore
when wc recommend Dr. Hoofland’s Ger
man Bitters, we wish it to be distinctly un
derstood that we are not speaking of the nos
trums of the day, that ajp noised about for a
brief period, and then forgotten iftcr they
have done their guilty rat e of mischief, hut
of a medicine long "established, universally
prized, and which has met the liearty approv
al of the faculty.itself.”
Evidence upon evidence has been received
(like the foregoing) from all sections of the
Union, the last three yen s, and the stj-nngogt
testimony in its favor, is, that there i* more
of it used in the practee of the regular Physi
cians of Pniladelphia, than all. other nos-
trums combined a fact that can easily be es
tablished, and fully proving that a scientific
preparation will meet with their quiet ap
proval when presented even in this form.
That this medicine will cure Liver Com
plaint and Dyspepsia, no one can doubt after
using it as directed. It acts spccifiuklly up
on the stomach and Liver; it is preferable to
calomel in all bilious diseases, the effect is im
mediate.- .They cim be administered to fc-
inalp or infant witlis.ifety and reliable bene
fit at any time- ,
