Dtp- In NERVOUS COMPLAINTS, Drugs and Medicines increase the disease, for they weaken thu vital energies of the already prostrated system; while, under the strengthening, life-giving, vital izing influence of Galvanism, as applied by this beautiful and wonderful discovery, the exhausted patient and weakened anflerer is restored to for mer health, strength, elasticity and vigor. The greet peculiarity end excellence of Dr. CkrMc’i Calvanic Curatives, consists in the fact that they arrest and cure dis ease by outward application, in place of the usual ■ode of drugging and physicking the patient, till exhausted Nature sinks hopelessly under the in fliction. They strengthen the whole system, equalise the cir culation of the blood, promote the secretions, and never do the slightest injury under anv circumstances. Since their introduction in the United States, only three yean since, more than 75,000 Persons* including all ages, classes and contiilsmi, among which were a large number ol ladies, who are pecu liarly subject lo Nervous Complaints, have been ENTIRELY AND PERMANENTLY CDRED r when all hope of relief bad been given up, and evexy thing else been tried in vain! To illustrate the use of the Galiraailc Belt, suppose the case of a person afflicted with that bane of civilization, DYSPEPSIA, or any other Chrome or Nervous Disorder. In ordinary case*, stimulants are taken, which, by their action on the nerves sod muscles of the stomach, afford tempo rary relief but which leave the patient in a lower state, and with injured faculties, after the action thus excited has ceased. Now compare this with the effect resulting from the application of the GAL VANIC BELT. Take a Dyspeptic sufferer, even ia the worst symptoms of an attack, and simply tie the Belt around the Body, using tho Magnetic Fluid as directed. In a short period the msen>»- ble perspiration will act on the pontive dasMiit ot- theBo-t;-thereby c3V3sia#-Qj rid v ^u^ooxulMtidfis which will pass on to the negative, out back egain to the positive, thus keeping up a WWniH^v out Galvanic circulation throughout the system. LANDIS,TtERGYMAN of New Jersey, of distinguished attainments and exalted reputation:— Sidney, New Jersey, July 12, 1845. Da. A. H. Christie—Dear Sir: You wish to know of me what has been the rosnlt in my own case, of the application of THE GALVANIC BELT AND NECKLACE. My reply is as follows: For about twenty years I had been suffering from Dyspepsia. Every year the symptoms be came worse, nor could I obtain permanent relief from any course of medical treatment whatever. About fourteen years since, in consequence of fre- quent exposure to the weather, in the discharge of . my pastoral duties, I became subject to a sever** Chronic Rheumatism, which for year after year, caused me indescribable anguish. Farther : in the winter of ’45 and ’46, in consequence of preaching a great deal in my own and various other churches in this region, 1 was attacked by the Bronchitis, which soon became so severe as to require an im mediate suspension of my pa^ral labors. JUm nervous system was now thoroughly prostrated, ana as my Bronchitis became worse, so also did my Dys pepsia and Rheumatic affection—thus evincing that these disorders were connected with each other through the medium of the Nervous Sys tem. In the whole pharmacopoeia there aeemed to be no remedial agent which could reach and recuperate my Nervous System ; every thing that I had tried ibr this purpose had completely failed. At last I was led by my friends to examine your inventions, and (though with no very sanguine hopes of their efficiency,) 1 determined to try the effect of the application of the GALVANIC BELT AND NECKLACE, with the MAGNETIC FLUID.
