Tbe meeting of the Tugalo Asso¬ ciation which convened with Double Branch Uhtffdh in this county last Week proved to be as pleasant a meeting as that body perhaps ever experienced. The weather was as pleasant as could be asked for, and nothing seemed to binder an enjoya¬ ble time all daring tbe meeting. The business of the Association was transacted on Friday and Saturday, We understand that all the business was transacted with that harmony and brotherly love which ought to be characteristic with all Christians. Rev. H. M. Barton was elected Mod* orator, and Dr. A. W. Brawner, clerk* The hospitality of the citizens in the neighborhood of Double Branch Church Which they displayed during the Association can not be excelled in the wodd. Long may the Double Branch Church, and the Baptist Tu¬ galo Association prosper. Have You the Buckeye? It is a well established fact, that Tablets Buckeye Pile Ointment will cure, if used according to directions. The j&soulus Hippocastanum, or Horse Chestnut, commonly known as the Buckeye, has been highly esteem¬ ed for many years, owing to tbe f*ct, that it possesses virtues, lying in tbe bitter principle called Esculin, which can be utilized for the cure of Piles. If affected with that terrible disease, use Tablet’s Buckeye Pile Ointment* and be relieved. Price 50 cents. For Sal© by O SBORN A TUCKE R. Mexico and United States. He says that Billups will get at least two thirds if not three-fourths, of the vote cast in Banks county at the coming election. —Mr, Ben Wilkerson of this coun*> ty, was knocked in tbe head with a rock by a negro last week, and it is thought that it is very doubtful whether he will recover. The negro has made his escape. We have not learned all the particulars. —The farmers throughout the county are very busy picking cotton. It is useless for a lightning rod agent or a Sewing machine man to go to them and ask them to buy. They hayent got tbe time and they don’t want to be bothered by anybody at the present time, agents bear this in mind. —We are inlormed that Bill Scogs gins was sent to Albany prison to serve out bis full time thirteen months. He was one of the first founders of old Allans Church, and was known by all to be a faithful servant in his Master’s vine¬ yard. It can truly be said a good mao, and one who was loved by all, has fallen, and we trust has been called up higher. DESPERATE. All persons indebted to me on notes Office or accounts Books (including Toccoa Herald hereby notified np to August 7th 1878) are that my own con¬ dition financially is as pressing as yours. I owe debts and must pay them, and I say to my debtors yon mast pay me at least part or abide tbe consequences. You can find me in Carnesviiie Daring Court week. THOMAS CHYMES. HART SUPERIOR COURT. We had the pleasure ot spending Monday and Tuesday of this week at our neighboring village, Hartwell, where the Hart Superior Court was in session. The weather being so pretty for farmers to be picking cot" ton the attendance was rather small Court opened Monday morning with Judge Pottle and Solicitor Reece looking healthy. Besides the local bar, which is composed of A- G. Me Curry, F. B. H. Hodges, A. David, J.JR. F. Skelton, P. Prof Lee Linder, #. iu, C. W. Seidell and T. Teasley, Esqrs. j We noticed Cols^ Johnson and Lumpkin, from Lexington ; Cols. Hester, Shannon, Osborn, Grogan, Edwards, and Vanduzer, from Elber* ton ; Cols. Neiberland, Smith and Owen, from Toccoa. Up to the time we left, there bad been no cases dis¬ posed of that we suppose would in¬ terest our readers. While in,Hart-, well we examined their new jail, and can truthfully pronounce it the best ail we ever saw in a country town, everything in it, and about it is kept so neat that a man would be fortunate to be confined in it and make his board free, especially if he is a lazy man. At this term of the court though they have only one man who seems inclined to make his living in that way. We were glad to see the Sun flour¬ ishing like a green bay tree, but then it will always be prosperous as long as it stays in the hands it is now in. McGill is one of the best printers in the state, and our talented friend, Hon. A. G. McCurry, will keep the editorial department up to as high a standard as any other paper in in the State as long as he is connected with it. May the Sun forever shine brightly. GOOD DIGESTION “Give us this day our daily bread and good medicine te digest it, is both reverent and human. The hu¬ man stomach and liver are fruitful sources of life's comfort; or, disorder¬ ed and diseased, they tingle misery along every nerve and through every artery. The man or woman with good digestion see beauty as they walk, and overcome obstacles they meet in the routine of life, where the ) l .J*V ’ dyspeptic sees only gloom and stum¬ bles and growls at* ever imaginary object. The world still needs two or three new kinds of medicine before death can.be perfectly abolished; but that many lives have been prolonged, and many sufferers from Liver dis¬ ease, Dyspepsia and Headache, have been cured by Merrell’s Hepatine, is no longer a doubt. It cures Head ache in twenty miou&s, and there is no question but wbat it is the most wonderful discovery yet made in medical science. Those afflicted with Biliousness and Liver Complant should use Meerell’s Hepatine. It can be had at Osborn A Tucker. HERE IT IS!
