Davis’ health wili not permit his

We regret to announce the death
ot Mrs/ J. M. Andrews who died on
Saturday evening and was buiied at
New Hope Church yesterday.
Mrs Andrews was a good woman in

Furnishes us an Interesting

Editor/Agister. It seems that
almost every corner or Old Frank,
lin has been represented through

the 210 district, This being on#

noticed.
There has been quite * stir in this
section among the people, getting
off to Atlanta to see the President,
the big driving wheel of these Unis
ted States. The president u a fin#
looking men, aud his wife is pretty.
Every body lias returned from
the Exposition, and are picking cot*,
ton and digging potatoes, satisfied
that they have seen the bigg, st p.’rt
of the world in Atlanta. 1 have not
been able to find a sm (le person
who wants to go back again.
One of out good citizens got into
rather rather close quarters with a
pick pocket during the fair, and fwas
relieved of his pocket book, aid
about $10 of the root of all evil.
The gin house of Messrs. George
L Ca-son & Co. was destroyed by
fire on the 18th inst. together with
ten bales of cotton The gentleman
will pay for cotton lost ard rebuild
at once.
Mr. John W Neal has commenced

Mr. W. B. Detter is budding a
new box house near Eberiezer church
where he proposes to run a blaek

the house in which the Crocket
family were murdered, The sills
were hewed out ol the richest of
pine, the joist and rafters are of
skinned pine poles and as sound as
a Spanish Dollar. Can any one
give the date of the marder of the
Crockett family and how many were
