Mr. Editor: I hope you will al
low me space in your department of
the EXPRESS to give our democratic
friends a few thoughts. And I begin
by saying that if there ever was a
time when democrats were called up
on to luy aside passion and prejudice
.and rise up like patriots and men,
1 determined to do their duty, that
time is now at hand. Let me con
jure you to scatter to the winds,
bury, and bury deep, all differences
of opinion upon questions of minor
importance, and look to the great
interest and magnitude of the issues
involved in tho approaching contest I
Wo should pride ourselves in the
principles of the party that has
brought us from under the domin
ion of radical rule, and should al
ways he found exerting ourselves in
maintaining the unity of our party,
and the integrity of its principles.
Its fortunes are too brilliant to bo
mured; its destiny too powerful to
be resisted by malcontents and self-
constitutod candidates aspiring for
place and power. Wo cannot expect
anything lor the good of the coun
try from their hands. We can have
no confidence in dmryanizers, for
they are the bane of ull good gov
ernment, and the foes of constitu
tional liberty, and it is time the peo
ple were convinced of their hypoc-
racy and wickedness, and hurl them
from the high places they have so
long con trolled anil abused. That a
consumution so devoutly to bo wish
od for may be obtained, let us unite
in sending to the Nation’s Congress
a man whuin office seeks, and not
who seeks office and indepen
dont.ly asserts his as the only right to
that office, regardless of the<wishes of
a majority of the people, whose pow
er alone it is to give that offices. In
this patriotic work 1 trust 1 will find
the good men of Haralson standing
side b side, with armor burnished
bright, ready and willing to make a
fierce assault against the policy and
claims of the self constituted candi
date of the Seventh Congressional
District. If there should be any
democrat in the county whose hand
has waxed weak, or wose heart has
grown cold, and disposed to sympa
thize with Felton aiK his friends, let
him come out from among them,
and let him r member that “Eagles
mate not with kites and crows.”
Democrats, on which side will you
bo found iu this great controversy ?
trust upon the side of tho poople
aud the people’s condidate.

Good Dlgcston.
“Give us this day our daily bread’,
and good medicine to digest it, is both
reverent and human. The human
stomach and liverare fruitful sonroe
of life’s comforts; or, disordered and
diseased, they tingle misery along
every nerve artery. The man or wo
man with good digest ion see beauty
as they walk, and overcome obsta
cles they meet in the routine of life,
where the dyspeptic sees only gloom
and stumbles and growls an eveu
imaginary objects. The world still
needs two or three new kinds of
medicine before death can be perfect
ly abolished; but that many lives
have been prolonged, and mauv suf
ferers from Liver disease, Dyspepsiu
and Headvohe, have been cured by
Meubbll’s Hepatine, is no longer
a doubt. It cures Headache in twen
ty minutes, and there is no question
but what it is the most wonderful
discovery yet made in medical
science. Those afflicted with Bil

should use Meurell’s Hepatine.
