In our last week’s issue iu noticing : the marriage of Mr. John Parker and Miss Laura Morgan, we said that Hon. A. M. Helms performed the ceremony. We ought to have slid liev. J. L. Stew art? Summers has taken charge of.the Mayfield House and is now pre pared to take in boarders and feed the .hungry. Court adjourned till 2nd Monday in December next. * — 1 Died, At the residence ot Mr. W. F. Her ring, in Midway, on the 25th iiist, Miss Rebecca Conyers, age 87 years and 5 mouths.— Covington Star. Death of Dr. Wm, Brown. The remains of Dr. Wm. Brown, who died at Opopka, Floraida, on last Thursday, arrived in Covington by the down passenger train, yesterday morning, aod where escorted to their last resting place in the old cemetery by a large con course of our citizens. The remains were brought up from Florida in charge of Mr. Wm. S. Brown, who has been with his father since August. Dr Brown was an old citizen ol Covington, and leaves many friends and relatives to mourn his death.
