The farmer who pitches in himself with his boys aud leads the row, and. raises all he eats at home, will make a little money anyhow, bat all the rest will probably lose. Every pound of cotton, we reckon, will make them a cent or two poorer—particularly if they have to buv food aud swap off their cotton ut the rate iff a pound and a alf or three quarters for a pound of Western facon.
