Messes. J. O. Mathkwson & Co., Augusta, Ga.—Deab Sibs : 1 have used the Pacific Guano
for several rears with good success. Last year I tried several kinds, viz: Barry, l’atapsco and
Soluble Pacific.
On the 30th of March Inst I concluded to make a test with Guano and Green Cotton Seed. I
manured three rows with Cotton Seed only. I then manured tliree rows with fifteen pounds of
Pacific Guano and Cottou Seed, using the same quantity of Hairy's and l’atapsco mixed with
Cotton Seed on the same quantity of ground, which was poor inullato land, all the same kind aud
all treated alike.

STANDARD FERTILIZERS!
THE EARTH MADE T0_GIME FORTH ITS RICHES
Experiments have demonstrated that of the ten Mineral Elements which constitute the ashes
of plnnts, the presence of each and every one is essential to their perfect growth and develop
ment ; and, :is crops extract them atmuallv, no land can be permanently fertile
UNLESS THEY BE RESTORED TO TIIE SOIL.
This fact is now so patent to our farmors that thousands of totu are annually sold in this mar
ket. Recognizing the importance of this interest to our section of country, I have secured the
Agency of the following old and Standard Fertilizers, which the fanners are invited to call, in
spect and price before buying elsewhere :
OLD CAROLINA STONO SOLUBLE GUANO,
SAMANA GUANO,. CHESAPEAKE GUANO,
'XQNCID, STONO ACID PHOSPHATE,
