made between Atlanta and Augusta,
and instead of a proportionate low
ering of the rites to Athens, which

and equitable, the rates to our city
were absolutely increased; thus
making a discrimination in rales
against us as unjust as it was detri
mental to our business interests. At
the time, it was stated, and we be-
leive it is still claimed by interested
parties that this arbitrary arrange
ment was entirely owing to the
