I want every person who reads this
to understand that it is the plain un
varnished truth. Being natural, I
should commence with children’s
dream. , Of course they are morefool-
ish and harder to understand than
grown persons’ on account of the im
maturity of their minds ; nevertheless,
they have a deep meaning. My dreams
are always hints, or, more pro|ierly,
significant of the future. My eldest
sister was aware of this, and often
asked rno what I dreamed. I told her

The winter sleep of the time of
rude customs having ended, the

liant literature is shedding its lustre

I imagined myself sitting in the house,
when a woman -entered without cere
mony. She held her head slightly
hack, *nd I noticed wrinkles extending
from her ear to her eyes, which gave
her a look of great suffering. I asked
her want ailed her. She said. “I have
been afflicted with a pain in the hack
of my neck. They have rubbed all
kinds ot strong stuti on it, but nothing
does it auy good.” She said a great
deal which is not necessary to men
tion. The next day, about noon, a
man drove up to tho gate with n span
of limp s, whic.. he wished to sell for
one hundred and fifty dollars apiece.
My husband examined them, and
could sec nothing amiss, but said he
would not take them until I looked al
them. A8 I walked from the house to
the gate I noticed one of the mares
held her head back, had hir ears
cropped, and also wrinkles extending
from her ears to her eyes. I bid the
man tho time of day, and then said:
“ There is something the matter with
that off mare.” As soon as I said that
