From a letter lrom W J Goss, at
Harmony Grove, we learn that quite
a number of stores were broken open
in that villiage on Monday, 20th inst.,
and robbed,- The following amounts
were stolen: 8. Sugar, $75; C. W.
1 arrearages are paid.
8. If subscribers neglect or refuse totaket heir
periodical* from the offioe to which they- we
lirected, they are held responsible, until thev
sve settled .heir bills and ordered* theni dis
continued
4. If subscribers move toother places without
notifying publishers, and the papers arc sent
:o the former direction, they are held respon
sible.
6. The courts have decided that “refusing
;o take periodicals from the office, or removing

gold. 1 ’ The discourse was deeply edi-
lying and made a lasting impression
on all who heard it.
The music of the convention was
conducted by John W. Wallace, of
Augusta, and added greatly to the
interest of the occasion.
The convention, tho igh not large
in numbers, was a gratifying success
in the spirit that pervaded its delib
erations, and it has certainly left its
impress for good in this section. .All
