North Georgia conference ever bold.
Two sessions daily were held. Bishop
McTyeire rudied business in order to
get to the Fiorkkt conference, which
meets iu Pensacola otf* Wednesday.
The next conference will be held in
Athens.

of state to communicate with General
Walker, superintendent of the census,
and request that he furnish the legisla

Desperate Fight Over a Poker Table
of Two Men Who Met After 18 Years.

There was a desperate knifing en
tertainment near Wilson vide, Spen
cei county, not far from the Jeff rson
county line, last. Thursday night, in
which Samuel Price, a hog drover,
whs badly but not dangerously
wounded, and which involves rather
a singular history 'of smou dering

Price also leaped to tits feet, and in

dertook to separate them, but receiv

for his trouble. McGill and Prce ‘
were furious with rage, and it was
only after several moments of des
perate fighting tnat the crowd could
overpower them. It was then dis
co vend that Price had a severe stab
in the side, and his loft arm was bad
ly gashed at the M- w\ McGill had
a long gash on th” boulder, and the
leader of one finger was cut across
his hand* Price wilt iot die, but he
is said to be badly hurt.
