During the same time freight trains
ran 2,725,753. The 1,269,504 pas¬

81,510,073. The freight moved
amounted to 2,654,451 tons, for
which the roads charged 84,613,620.
The roads paid interest on bonds to
the amount of 81.818,604, and do

that the number of passengers car¬

the state.
In point of railroad mileage Ala¬

I Don't Feel Like Work
It makes no difference wbat business
you are engaged in : whether you area
preacher, a merchant, a mechanic, a
lawyer ora common laborer, you can’t
do your work well while you are half
sick. Thousands try to, but all in vain.
How much better to keep your organs
in good order by taking Parker’s Tonic
when you feel “a little out of sorts,” It
would be money in your pocket. One
hour of good, rejoicing health is worth
a dozen hours of full of languor and
pain. lm
MOTHERS’ FRIEND.
Applied according to directions 3 or 4
months before confinement, its effect is
wonderfully beneficial and gratifying.—
The delicate organs and parts directly
involved are relaxed and softened and
lose their rigidity w ithout ini paring their
power, while its lubricating qualities act
like a charm, thus assuring a quick and
almost painless delivery without physi¬
cal exhaustion, and death agonies of
many hours duration are entirely avoid¬
ed.
It not only shortens the time of
labor and lessens the intensity of pain,
but, better than all, it greatly diminish
es the danger to life of both mother and
child, and leaves the mother in a condit¬
ion highly favorable to speedy recovery,
and far less liable to flooding, convul¬
sions, and other alarming symptoms in¬
cident to lingering and painful labor.—
Its truly wonderful efficacy in this res
pect entitles Mothers Friend to he rank¬
ed as one of the life-saving appliances
given to the world by the discoveries of I
modern science.

Why t)iis wonderful sale of a new remedy in

It must be confessed that it is because B. B. B.

By its magical alterative powers, B B. B. un¬
