Covington, Ga. 5 Tuesday, April 2, 1901.
WAS GREAT SUCCESS
Our opening last week was a grand success. The unanimous verdict of the throng of fair
women
who attended, was, tint no such display of skill in the arranging of artistic headgear for the gentle
C5
rex was ever shown in this section. Miss Young has already established herself in the confidence of
those who appieciate the artistic in Millinery and the success of her department is assured, Her pat
tern hats are still on exhibition and she will be pleased to show them to any who have not seen them.
While we are putting much of our time energy and cash in the promotion of our Millinery depart¬
nient that by no means is to the neglect of other departments. Excelsior is our motto in everything
(but prices^ and every department of store is replete with evidences of the spirit of this word.
Our last season’s business was unrivaled in the history of Covington. It was a glorious endorse
ment by the people of our proposition that HONEST OPEN dealings is what the public wants, In
other words the demand is, “ONE PRICE FOR ALL. SPECIAL PRICES FOR NONE—CASH
UPON DELIVERY—THE MOST FOR THE MONEY. These were the planks in our plat¬
form when we entered the campaign for the people’s patronage in Covington, and we have unwaver
ingly adhered to the letter and spirit of them all, and we reannounce them with enforced emphasis in
this our second race for the public patronage. Our stcck is the most complete ever show n in this
city* D embraces all tout needs in the line of apparel, and it will be our pleasure to have you call
and examination it.
