We, the Grand Juror*, chosen and
•worn for October Term, 1881, do re*,
pectfully submit the following general
presentments.
We bare examined the jail and recom
mend that the lower Boor beneath the iron
ege be thoroughly secured by a rock pil
lar and that the upper floor, supporting
the trou cage, be secured by placing a col
ama beneath, with cap-sill and swinging
braces let ia the column by mortises.

be aside on the jail iwof. Also that the
' rivals off which tbe-bradb srafnow cut, be
replaced with new ones.
The Court-boose needs the following
rtpairs;
Mew roof, new steps, new lights in the
broken windows and some repairs on the
hall floor. We think it economical and
advisable to cover the court-house with
tin and use tbs gutters to convey the wa
ter from tbs walla. - '

suitable location and buildings sufficient to
accommodate the paupers of' the county,
aad report tbe some to the Grand Jury
during tbe next term of; the Superior
court held in tula county.
Ws further recommend that the Ordina
ry, aided by tbe above committee, rent
suitable buildings and make nect-Mary ar
rangements for tbe suppot-t of tbe paupers
of the county ffntil our next term of the
(Superior court. Also that the Ordinary
appoint a supeiutendont to tske'the) over
sight and provide for the wants ot snob
paupers as may apply fyr aid during such
