As I have arrived at home, after my
many sofe Ifiala and troubles of loosing
my companion, I how proceed to give a
small sketch of the death bed scene of her
who for days, weeks And months wits an
affleted victim of that tfodblesomc dis
ease, consumption. She bore her long and
lingering afflictieus witli true Christian pa
tience and fortitude even to the hour of
her uutiinely death. She wss a loving
and devoted wife, an affectionate daugh
ter, and above ail a Christian. Friends
she had—enemies none, and no one knew
her hul to love her. She left a loving
husband and kind parents, brothers and
sisters to mourn her loss. At the last sad
hour, aud during the last sad moments of
life she said: “I ftiii with Jesus, oil, how
sweet, how sweet; blessed Jesus, that is
enough !” trad she closed her eyes in
peaceful sleep and her soul winged its
flight to tbe land beyond the beautiful
gates ajar, where friends and companions
are reunited to separate no more forever.
She is gone and 1 have s id—farewell
These tears from mine eye-lids steal
And wither on my cheeks can tell,
Alone, 1 how sad, indeed, 1 feel.
She held my hand within her own—
My sad heart near broke with pain
I knew that life had almost flown |
I’d neVel 1 see her face again.
Siuce now she is no more in life,
The lamp lias gone out that so tree
God bless my true -ml faithful wife.
She was all the world t<> me.
Lord look on its in cur ijrbf
And free oUr hearts from pain,
Teach us to hear the sieet relief,

No one- questions tbe fact that more
cases of whites, suppression, irregularis
