Enterprise we find the following items which i . , . speak of former residents of Harris county: “Tlte Grange High School at Mad isonville, under the charge of Prof. G. A. Granberry, closed its first ses sion on the lGt h. The Grangers sue reeded in getting a good teacher in Prof Granberry, the school has bean well patronized, and there is 110 doubt now but what its success is injured. The closing exercises on Friday night, consisting of declamations, di alogue*, cnmpo>i ions, orations and music, were well attended. All the participants acquitted themselves splendidly. At the close, Col. J. I>. Gorman, of the Talbutton (Ga.) Stan Hard, was called upon for a speech, and respond- and in a brief but splendid imprompt 11 address.” Mrs. G. A. Granberry, of Madison ville, fell off the piazzt of the hott-e, last week, and dislocated an arnt. Site was insensible for a short time. Her arm was reset by D r . Upton and she is speedily recovering. ” Thespian —On Frid <v, the 2 1st July, Prof. La Hal le will close the Spring session of the Hamilton Male Ac demy. We hav been in formed by the Professor that several young ladies in town have very kind ly consented to a-sist him in the thespian entertainment. “Toodles” will be the leadiug j Py, and it wdl, no doubt be an iriiefasunir occasion. Prof. La Hitt e has put himself to a great deal of trouble to make a sue ces- of it, and the pro-p utt now is that il will be the best ihing of the kind that has occured in Hamilton in some time.
