—The Columbus & Home railroad is do

bales of ootton to Columbus overy week.
The extension will reach the top of the
mountain by Saturday night.
—Few of onr merchants are complain
ing of business this season. Goods are
sold remarkably oheap by them and hence
their large trade. Hamilton is bound to
be a city. . ,

condition this week. One advertisers take

—The weather is very unsettled. The

Misses Lula Mobley and Annie Hen
derson, two of our fairest and loveliest
citizens have returned from a three weeks
visit to Alabama.

—Hamilton is destined to become a
favorite summer resort. All the young
ladies who visitnd here last season, who
do not marry this winter, remain single
through choice.
—Mr. J. B. Jones one or the cleverest
of the Columbus merchants, was in our
town last Tuesday on particular business.
