Fair Notes.
Interest in the Fair increases.
Nobody who has been approached
has failed to contribute liberally.
Of course everybody is coming,
along with their sisters, and their
cousins, and their aunts.
The Fair will be held in the Court
House, admission will be free to all,
and if you don’t see anything that
you want, you needn’t spend a cent.
It opens Monday evening, contin¬
ues day and night for four days, and
the like has never been seen in these
parts before.
The town will he full of visitors
and all will be welcome. Hamilton
will enjoy a gay Christmas.
One of the handsomest presents
yet made is that of Mr. T. S. Spear,
a handsome clock that would oma
mcnt an > nar P a,lor i nr in m the tne Hind* laiK •
Mr. J. W. Pease, also of Colum
bus > makes a handsome and liberal
donation, consisting of a handsome
velvet picture frame, a Morocco
photograph album, five nicely bound
autograph albums, and four boxes of
papetrie.
Mr. I. G. Slrupper has contributed
a most liberal donation of choice
confections such as he only keeps.
The liberality of Messrs M. D.
Hood & Co., is commendable and
characteristic. Their donation is ten
gallons of paint.
All the old folks will want to see
“The Mechanical Housewife,” or
darning machine, wh.ch' lias been
contributed to the Fair.
The long list of other contributions
was handed in too late for publica¬
