Ten days ago they wouldn’t do this,
for fear ot frightening the latger
game. They seem to have arrived
at the conclusion that a squirrel in
the hand is worth two turkies in the
bushes.
A personal examination into the
workings of our college should be
made by every parent or guardian
who visits Hamilton next week. No
excuse now exists for patronizing
educational institutions outside the
county limits, except to give the very
highest collegiate finish. Keep your in
children as near home as possible
educating them, that they may make
friendships among and learn of the
and disposition of those
with whom their life is to be spent.
Every vital interest prompts to the
patronage of worthy home institu¬
tions.

in the western part of this county, in

citizens, Mr. John Cox

the hands of the former.
A difference existed between the
two men, and on the evening stated,
as Cox was driving into his father’s
yard, about one hundred yards hailed from by
his own dwelling? he was difficulty be

gate where Thomas was waiting. As
he approached, Thomas said that
one of them would not leave there
alive, or words to that effect. An
an gry discussion* ensued, when Cox
says Thomas dismounted from the
mule he was riding and advanced
npon him with a drawn knife, when

Cherry Pectoral
No other complaints are so insidious in their
attack as those affecting the throat and lungs:
none so trifled with by the majority of sullor
ers. The ordinary cough or cold, resulting
perhaps from a trifling or unconscious ex
posure, is often but the beginning of a fatal
sickness. Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral has
•well proven its efficacy in a forty years’ fight
with throat and lung diseases, and should be
taken in all eases without delay.
