Col. Cary J. Thornton came up
yesterday evening from Columbus,

ville, who is freely spoken of as our
next congressman, is among our dis
tinguished visitors.
Lieutenant G. E. Chandler, of the
Columbus City Light Guards, came
up on yesterday afternoon.

The Prize Drill.
The prize drill last night was a very
fnteresting feature of the exercises of
the evening. After a heated contest
the pr ze was awarded Cadet F. O.
Williams. It was delivered by Lieut,
G. E. Chandler, who made an ad
d ess appropriate to the occasion.
