GLEANINGS FrIhVI THE TAL BOTTON NEW ERA. The wheat crop through the county is looking finely, but oats not so well. Corn is coming up, but it is feared the stand will not be good. The people are getting enough German carp to use on the table oc¬ casionally. Farmers are advised to plant am ber cane, milo maize, and sow corn for forage. This would insure food for stock the whole of next winter. The New Era will begin the publi¬ cation of “ Dark Days” next week. It is a thrilling story, which theTouR nal has already given to its read ers. The Holiness meetings were attend¬ ed by large congregations and result¬ ed in great good. Those who criti¬ cised and doubted became convinced that there was power in pure and un defiled religion as preached and prac ticed by these humble , consecrated , Christians. Talbotton is in the midst of a great religious revival. Spain & Persons have dissolved partnership, and the business will in future be conducted by Jas A. Spain. Mrs. Henry Schualen, of Ashland, Ky., writes that her daughter has been cured of deafness which resulted from chronic catarrh. She tells how she had lost all hope of her daughter ( her ideal) being cured, and how overjoyed she is at the result. After trying many remedies, she savs Peruna brought a cure, and that the daughter’s hearing is restored. She concludes, by speaking in the most flattering terms of Peruna. and then de scribes in the most lovely manner the happiness it has brought her, and reviews the distress she experienced while her daughter was afflicted.
