GREAT SOUTHERN REMEDY JACOB’S Cholera, Dysentery and Di arrhoea dJiDSilDliiilLo THE great success that has attended the treat ment o( all bowbl diseases with “Jaeoh’s Cor dial,” for the lust twelve months, Inis induced the proprietors to go largely into the manufacture of it. No expense or pains have been spared in get ting it up, and as regards its external appearances, we can say without contradiction, tnul it very lar surpasses every other preparation now out in the United States. The bottles were made expresslv for the purpose, having the following Words blown in the glass:—“ Jacob's Cholera & Dysentery Cor dial."— 1 lie bottle together with a linely printed pamphlet, is inclosed in a line steel engraved wrapper with f\ ur vignettes; and has also upon the top ot the bottle over the outside wrapper, a finely engraved sac simile and signature of “\V. VV . BLIBS & CO.” These Together with two kinds of large line sleel engraved “placards” places it, so lar as regards external appearances, far ahead ol any thing ol the kind in the United -States. As to its merits as u remedy in Dysentery, Diar rhtt.i, and Cholera Morbus, we believe it very lar surpasses every other preparation of the kind now before the public. It is a reliable prcparalion, safe, speedy, and of lectual; und the trial even ol one dose, by the al flieted, will lully prove the truth of our assertion, that at preparation never was given to the public that will so effectually, and in so short a time relieve. The (ormolu lor the preparation was first used by one of the proprietors in his private practice, some eight or ten years ago, and has been in his hands from that tune up to the present, ail almost never failing remedy in bowel affections. Physicians of intelligence have rested it in t lie ir practice, and people of entire neighborhoods j havealso used it, and one and all, so far as t lie proprietors have any knowledge, are enthusiastic m its praise. We have already staled in our pamphlet, that we believed it will effect a cure 99 cases out of every hundred, when the directions are closely followed, and that eighty out ol the hundred cases, will have become relieved and cured, by the time the 2d or 3d dose has been t.. ken. \V e ground our belief on what it has done during the last twelve month-; . lb. nearly every case, so lar as we liaxe heard, has j not only “been cured, but cured front taking one or I two or three doses ol this medicine. We do not regard it by any means a specific: nor do we bc liflve, or pretend to say, that it will cure every ease; j but we do mean to be understood, that if it is ta- i ken according to the directions as set forth in the | pamphlet, that a great majority of the cases will not only be relieved but entirely cured. We have no fears in regard to its success, except in some few crises of children. There are many casqs of bowel complaints, produced and kept up by the presence of worjis m the intestinal canal, and so long as those remain, this, or no other Dysentery and Dtariluea preparation will do any permanent good. There a.re siso oftentimes chronic dischar ges from the bowels, produced and kept up in fe males of a weak at.’d ncbihtutcd constitution, pro duced by ‘‘prolapsus men” —so longas this source of irritation remains, n* permanent benefit can be expected from any remedy, until the cause of this irriintion is removed. We cannot Iterald it forth it.’ the face and eyes of the whole world, that we can produce “thousands of certific.'ites” in relation to the wonderful cures it [ lias effected, for we Bare not got tlih'in; but we have got a great plenty, enough ue think to satisfy the most fastidious; and they ure not certificates man ufUeui'cd lor the occasion, got up to dup.e the un wary, hut are certificates of men ofwoijhand standing in our midst, and known to nearly every person in this and surrounui ig counties. Wo J Could Irave insulted many other recommendations ■ in oAr pamphlet, of equal vdua to those already published, had we had space to have done so 1 —but Jo make a long story a short one, we say to 1 the public', ir, J a bottle, and our word lor it. you will not be disa q-'uinled in its effects. PHYSICIANS To you we res.pt.'e. r uUy offer this preparation, not particularly tor its efficacy alone, (ml Ibr the con venience oV having a ii'liable preparation already prepared in cases of e. n ‘rgeney. H’e sell it to you who wish il for priv<. te practice, at a discount from the usual price. TO PLANTu US This preparation was especially designed for you and your females—more those who live at a distance lrm a good phys. utau. To all such wc would mast respectfully adviX’- lo pur chase and have it always on liaud. you are living in a district of country wheT Dy sentery and Diarrhoea prevail—hy so” doing, v ou may, by its timely administration, save the” I tie’.I’s 1 ’f some of your family, or the life of a valuable ne- ‘ gra. TO FEMALES This preparation is peculiarly adapted and admira bly suited, to the many peculiar maladies to which you are subject—loss of nervous power, bodily ex haustion, depressed and gloomy sf Re of mind, the which, it not remedied very soon, impairs the en ergy of mind and disturbs the equanimity of tem per. In this you will find a tranquihscr and a ton ic, whose invigorating effects will he seen and fell, even altera few d< ses. It contracts nervousness, j prostration ofsystem, irregularities, despondency, heartburn, vomiting, pain in the hack and loins, lalse pains and pains ol ihe menstrual period.— Foil will fi td it silt at all times, and speedy in ils operalion. This medicine is indeed admirably suited to those hysterical feelings and that ner vousness, wdiich are so often an accompaniment to the menstrual period, and a great many cases could be tiled where it is now being used for this alone, in this c runty, and neighboring ones. TRAVELLERS, Whose business calls them through parts of our country, where Cholera, Diarrbmi, and Dysentery prevail, should not he without this remedy in their trunks—that they may, pon the slightest evidence of disease, have recourse, immeaiatdv to a p oper ! remedy. FOR CHILDREN, Tlii3 medicine is admirably adapted. Bowel Complaints of children, while tool hi g cannot only he readily cured, hut prevented, hv a timely use of (His Cordial.’thereby preventing them from bee mnns weak and puny, and consequently fret ful and ill-humored. Much suffering on the part ofthe child, ami anxiety of the parents, con'd by timely precaution and suitable remedies he pre vented. For recommendations and “ex'raels from letters” we refer the public to nor pamphlet. TERMS, One-Buttle, £ j qo Six Bodies, jss 00 AGENCIES!. Griflin, January 18, 1853. 3—ly cheery" pectoral, For the rapid Cure of COUGHS, COLDS, HOARSENESS, BRONCHITIS,WHOOPING-COUGH, CROUP, ASTHMA, AND CONSUMPTION. MANY years of trial, instead of impairing the public confidence in this medicine, has wou for it an appreciation and notoriety by far ex ceeding the most sanguine expeclationsofits friends Nothing but its intrinsic virtues and ihe unmistak able henifit conferred on thousands of sufferers, could originate and maintain the reputation it. en joys. While many inferior remedies thrust upon ihe community, have failed and been discarded, this lies gained friends by every trial, conferred benefits on the afflicted they can never forget, and produced cures too numerous and too remarkable to be forgoUon. While it is a fraud on the public to prclend that any one medicine will infallibly cure—still there is abundant proof that the Cherrt Pectoral does not only as a general thing, but almost invariably cure the maladies for which it is employed; As time makes these facts wider and better known. Ibis medicine has gradually become the host reliance of lhe afflicted, from the log-cabin of (he American Peasant, to the palaces of European lvmi’9 Throughout Ibis entire country, in every S’ate, city, and indeed almost every hamlet it con tains, Chcri'y Pectoral is known as the best remedy extant for diseases of the Throat and Lungs, and in many foreign conmtrics, it is coming to be extensive ly used by their most intelligent Physicians. In Great Britain, France and Germany, where the medical sciences have, reached their highest perfec tion, Cherry Pectoral is introduced, and in constant use in the Armies Hospitals, Alms-Houses, Public Institutions, ad ii domestic practice,as ihe surest remedy their altenih.ng Physicians can employ for the more dangerous h,flections of the Lungs. Al so in milder cases, and vr children it is sale, pleas ant and effectual to cure.. In fact, some of Ihe most flattering testimonials \;e receive have been from parents who have found it ffficacßius in cases particularly incidental to childhood. The Cherry Pcetctid is manulacftv'red by a prac tical Chemist, and every ounce of it under his own eye, with invariable accuracy and care. It is seal *xl and protected by law from counter fir's, conse quently can he relied on as genuine within.tadul tcrufioti. We have endeavored here to foVnish the commit nrty with a medn-me or such intrinsic superiority and worth as should commend it.selt to Mu ir confi dence—a remedy a! once safe, speedy and effectual which this has by ropeab'd and couni less lnaflf proved ilsoll lo be; and trust by “great ca e in pre paring it with chemical accuracy, of uniform strength to afford Physicians anew agent on which they can rely for Ihe best results, and the affl deri with a remedy that will do for them all Hint m h cine can do.
