extraordinary cure of Samuel M. Drinker,

cured by two bottles of Cartel’s Spanish

diseased liver. Hesiys its action on the

Ihe ia’.v, which have been going on in this
c ‘y in behalf of Cuban Independence,
have achieved their object. There is uot
slightest- foundation for this idea. —

that neither Presidents nor Judges, pro

and prompts him to extend his sympathy
and aid to his oppressed neighbors, that
the measures employed to defeat have
rather tended to promote the success of
the design. Ihe atrocious usurpation
and glaring outrage which have charac

neutrality act, have added fuel to the
flame, and made it the duty of Americans
to stamp, with their emphatic disapproba

J His robe Wet with dew and his shoes full of sand;
( Por his country he sigh’d and it griev’d him sore
j To wander alone by the grog shop’s bright door:
: But the signboard attracted his eye’s sad levotion,
; For It hung up on high, painted just to his notion,
[ Like the one far away beyond the green ocean,
Where he’d oft sang the anthem of Dutchmen

“I’ve nocasn, amt on credit 1 can’t get a drink;

And I’ve nothing to do blit to sit down and think
That never again in the green Holland bowers—
Where my lore-fathers drank shall I smoke for
long hours,
Or cover mv cup wit h the wild woven flowers —
And drink to the anthem of Dutchmen
Yaw, Yaw.”
Holland! my country! though sad and forsaken,
The bottle oh tukes me a wav to thv shore;
