town-clock, we enjoyed a leisurly break

cotton, really, is not near as good.
At Griffin we enjoyed the acquaint
ance of Dr. Dcavcupcr’, the talented
editor «f tbc Southern Herald,and the in
domitable Fitch, of tho Star. -And neur
this place we rested from our l-.-bors—
feasted on ebestuuts, walnuts, game, and
numerous other luxu-ies. It agreed
with us muchly, and in three and ys we
felt some fifty or sixty years younger
thnn common.
We spent one day in Atlanta, where
we were received and treated in a prince
ly stylo at tho American Ib.tel, and
when onr frien Is visit that ci*y, we
