The Physical Geography winch has t-een in
earful preparation for a long time, will be publish
ed early in coming autumn. It will be splendidly
illustrated with numerous fine engravings and
charts, and contain several copper maps, all ol
which will be beautifully colored.
There are no geographical works published,
that are ao much in demand, or that have so wide
a circulation as those of Mr. Mitchell. There are
upwards of four hundred thousand copies of them
sold annua!iy,and their manufacture give constant
employment to more than 160 persons. Thr
arrangement* of the publishers are such that they
are enabled to give correctly all the latest geograph
ical discoveries. They publish the only full write
uj geographiee in the country, and hav* regularly
engaged a strong force of map engravers and oth
er*, with* view tf maintaining their book* in ad
vance of all other similar works, in their accuracy,
romprehensiveneaa, and progressive character;
