Galysstoh, T«xas, April 26, 1856.
Da. O. O. Woodman, New Orleans;
My Dear Sir:—In justice to you and a duly
I owe to a suffering, and, I may say, a world ol
coughing people, I st.le what yout invaluable
Cough Remedy—your CHERRY E.YPEC-
TORANT—has done for me, when all other
remedies have failed to give any reliel. In the
fall of 1817, living 111 St. Louis, where 1 have
tesided most of the time for the last sixteen
yoars, I took a severe cold, which settled on mv
lungs, and was confined to my lied, and dosed
and blistered by doctors for several weeks, but
finally got on my legs again, but uot cured of
my hard coughing, and rattliny. mtd tickling iu
my throat, which continue. 1 . 1:. asintly fot
more than six months, always the torstin the
winter. My friends insisted I Lad coughed
enough to kill a dozen eommen men, and that
1 must lie in the last stage of copsturption. I
made up my mind that I must cougj my life
away. licit St. Louis in Duosnbar last, to
travel and spend the winter m iae South.—
When)! called at your atoro in Vicksburg, you
will recollect, I was coughing so hard I could
not mako my business known. You said you
would cure mv cough. As you gave me a bot
tle of your CHERRY EXPECTORANT, I
thought I would not slight you and your medi
cine so much as not to try it; and ir. thankful
ness shall I ever remember the day I did no. In
but u faw Jays, it began to allay and diminish
my cough and tickling in my throat, and be
fore I had used more than three fourths of the
contuuts ofthat bottle,! wasrntirclycured, ami
for weeks I did not even raise a cough, thougi
exposed day and night, in all weathers, in tra
veling. However, in March, while traveling in
North Carolina, 1 took a severe cold, end my
coughing commenced again, and else the tick
ling in my throat, at intervals; and before my
arriving in New Orleans, on the I.l’Ji in»t., on
some night, my coughing commence
and continue for an hour or two. I aoon pro
cured another bottle from you, aud in less than
two days 1 was ontirely relieved again. I am
now determined to always keep a bottle oo
hand, and in tho commencing of a cough, a ve
ry few small doses will relieve it entirely. I
am now folly satisfied it is tho Brer CO Lit* H

duty you owe to tho coughing and afflicted
