In the fall of 1317, living in St. Louis, where I have resided most of the lime for the last sixteen years, I took a severe cold, which settled on my lungs, and was confined to my bed, and dosed and b/isteied by doctors for several weeks, but finally got on my legs again, but not cured ol my hard coughing, and rattling at-d tickling iu my throat, which continued -Jan asanlly for more than -ix months, alwajc the - -rst in the winter. My friends insisted I omi coughed enough to kid a dozen t-ommen men, and that I must be in the last stage of consumption. I made up my mind that I mu-’. . my life away. 1 left St. Louis in Dotv/jihor last, to travel and spend the winter v 'iso South.— WhontI called at your store in i ickshurg, you will recollect, I was coughing so bard 1 could not make my business known. You said you would cure mv cough. As you gave me a bot tle of your CHERRY EXPECTORANT, I thought I would not slight you and your medi cine so much as not to try il; and in thankful ness sh ill I ever remember the day I did so. In but a fjw days, it began to allay and diminish my cough and tickling in my throat, and be fore I had used more than three fourths of the conteuts of that boltle; I was entirely cured, and for weeks 1 did not even raise a cough, tLougl exposed day and night, in all weathers, in tra veling. However, in March, while traveling in North Carolina, I t, ok a severe told, and my coughing commenced again, and also the tick ling in my throat, at intervals; and before mj arriving in New Orleans, on the tlUl inst., on some night, my coughing \ : commence and continue for an hour or »«e i noon pro cured another bottle from you, undin less than two days I was entirely relieved again. 1 am now determined to always keep a bottle on hand, andin the commencing of a cough, a ve- ol the | ry few srar.ll doses will relieve it entirely.
