In the fall of 1317, living in St. Louis, where I have resided most of the lime for the last sixteen years, I took a severe cold, which settled on my lungs, and was confined to my bed, and dosed and b/isteied by doctors for several weeks, but finally got on my legs again, but not cured ol my hard coughing,and rattling at-d tickling iu my throat, which continued -Jan asanlly for more than -ix months, alwajc the - -rst in the winter. In but a fjw days, it began to allay and diminish my cough and tickling in my throat, and be fore I had used more than three fourths of the conteuts of that boltle; I was entirely cured, and for weeks 1 did not even raise a cough, tLougl exposed day and night, in all weathers, in tra veling.
