Ransom, of Unwell county, Al abama, wns violently uttacked with cholic in the street in Columbus, was very much swol len, and from ull appearance could live but a short time unless relieved. Lieutenants Stein and Davis, and nine privates were wounded. Col. iUilee recovered a large amount of property. St. Paul's Min., August 24. I he State Convention fa progressing slowly. Some points of difference have been harmons ized, while others ol importance are unsattled. The Republicans favor the adoption of one constitution, while the Democrats urge the suspension of both. The three half-breed Indiana who killed the German at Gull Lake, last week, were taken from the hands of the Sheriff by the populace aud hung to a tree.
