Special Notices. Worm*! Worm*! Ww^ii-A fW- A great many learned treatises have b»*n written, explaining ihe origin of, and signifying the worme generated in the human system. Scarcely any topic of medical science ha* elicited mars acute observation and pro found research ; and yet phyaiciana are eery much divided iu opinion on the subject. It must lie kdmited however, that, after all, a mode ot expelling them and purifying the body from their presence la of more value than ihe wlaeat disquisitions aa ta their origin. Such an expelling agent has at last been found. Dr. M'Lane’a Vermifuge proves to be the much aought after epocific—ita efficacy be-: ing univercally acknowledged by the entire medical faculty- At further proof, read the fol lowing from a lady—one of our own citizona Niw York, October 16th, 1862. * Thia is tocortify that I waa troubled with .worms for more than a year-f wa.i advised to Hje'M’Lane's Celebrated Vermifuge, prepared by Fleming Bros-of Pittsburgh. Bluo pills, calomel andjulap, rhubarb and Magnesia, and other ineffective and drastic draining cathartics, tin effect of which is to ir ritate the mucus membrane and intestines, to causa ulcers and sores to cover the surlaee of the intestines and bowels the drainings the bowels suffer weaken them, and the irritations caused by these drattiee irritants leave them sore and painful. Whenever a discharge takes place, ti is like bu, schinga raw sore on the eurface ; the more drastic pills are taken the weaker and sorer the bowels become.
