A groat many learned treaties have bun written, explaining the origin of, and classifying the worms generated in the human aystein. Scarcely any topic of medical sci- cnee bos elicited more acute observation ond profound research ; and yet physicians are very orach divided in opinion on the subject. It must be admitted however, that, after all, a medo of expelling them and purifying the bo dy from their presence is of more value than the wisest disquisitions ns to their origin- Such an expelling agent bos at last been lound. Atlanlu, Gn., August 24,1857 dtf Eureka Oil for Cholic In Ilorses. I On Saturday last a mule, the property of Mr. ; John W. Two ounces, liquid measure, of Eureka Oil was administered and in five min utes relief was perceptible, and in twenty r.iin" utes tlie animal was entirely relieved. This new and valuable mixture is certainly s great acquisition to the list of remedies hereto fore before tho public, which, in addition to the by Fleming Bros.,of Pittsburgh, Pa. THE CAUSE OF PAINFUL DISCHAR GES FROM THE BOWELS.—'There is a great mystery about physic, which even in these R. R. R. days tho people have not yet seen the interpretation. We will endeavor to unravel a lew folds of this mysterious mummy that have been shrouded in darkness so many centuries. Mr. Smith complains that every passage he has from the bowels, Iiesull'ersgrcat • pain, and feels “very week anil fainti-h.' a sort of soreness and irritation is felt after every evacuation 1 , be has to take piiis or straining that a disch rge takes place. Air. Smith's case i* the case of thousands of otherswho complain of Liver Complaint, Constipation of the Bowels Costivenees, Indigestion frequent attack* ol Billiousness, and every once in a while power ful Diarrhoea discharges. Mr. Smith and many others take salts ami senna common dra*. tic pills. Bine pills, calomel and julnp, rhu - barb and Magnesia, and other ineffective and drastic draining cathartics, the effect of which is to irritate the muens membrane and intes tines, to cause nicer* and sores to cover the surface of the intestines and bowels, the drain ings the bowels suffer weaken them, and the irritations caused by these drastics irritants leave them sore ami painful. Whenever a dis charge takes bis place it is like scratching a raw sore ou the surface : the more drastic pills are taken the weaker and sorer the bowels become. This drastic purging kills the bowels, neglects the liver, kidneys, bladder, Nerves, and other organs, consequently, those who commence physicuig with three drastic pills have to con tinue their use, to be afflicted with a distressing discharge, or none at nil. Radway's Regula tors supply this great deficiency, which lias so long been needed : one of Radway's Regula tors will heal all sores that may be in the bow els, will force the Liver, Kidneys, Bladder Heart and Bowels to the regular performance of their several functions, and will secure to ull a pleasant and easy discharge from the bow els, at a regular time. Radway’s Regulators bealspurges, regulates and corrects nil un healthy conditions of the bowt Is, Liver. Kid neys, Nerves, Skin nod Heart. .1 Valuable Medicine.— Dating the present week, uo less than six of our friends, who have been iqiluced to try Professor DeGrnth’s Elec tric Jil for rheumatism, in consequence of hav ing aeen this preparation advertised in our col umns, have called upon us to state the result of their experiment. These persons assure ns that their rheumatic puins have been entirely cured by a few applications of Degruth's ‘Electric Oil,’ and they recommend its use to all who are afflicted with any of the diseases which it is designed to cure.—Prov.
