W. G. (Bob) Sims, died at his resi
dence in Surntor county, at two
o’clock, Tuesday morning, 25th Inst.,
of Typhoid Dyaintery. Ho has been
suffering with it for some weeks, but
tho skill of the best physicians, failed
to give him relief. Bob was a mem
ber of Cutts’ artillery during the late
war, and madon good soldier. His
old comrades will regret to learn of
his death, and will think kindly of
the times spent togotbor in the camp,
of war.

duces a letter from General Toombs,
said to have been found in an old
scrapbook. The letter was evidently
a confidential communication, but
now that it has got into print the
newspapers are giving it great pub
