A Surprise Party at Hollyhurst.
Holly hurst was the scene last
Friday evening of much amuse*
ment and enjoyment for quite a
bevy of young people, afforded
them by their beautiful and admir
able little hostess, Miss Ruby
Fleming, who has always been a
favorite among the younger set.
Notwithstanding the fact that it
was a surprise to the family, an
evening could not have been more
thoroughly enjoyed by each and
every one present.
Miss Ruby has endeared herself
to all the young people who love
to gather at her pretty surburban
home and enjoy the hospitality of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W.
Fleming.
Long ere it could be realized, the
hour of midnight warned us that
the time of parting had come.
Reluctantly we departed, but wish
ing for many repetitions of the
merry hours so happily spent.
Those present were :
Miss DeVotie Hobbs, Mr. Hunt
Smith; Miss Allie Elder, Mr.
Wood Bryant ;Miss Fannie Askew,
Mr. Johijnie Williams; Miss Nan
nie Lou Davis, Mr. Crawford
Fryer; Miss India Cook, Mr. Os
car English ; Miss Kathlene Odum,
Mr. Grudy Smith; Miss Irene Al
exander, Mr. Lamar Oliver; Miss
Maude Johnson, Mr. Herbert Do
zier; Misses Flewellen and Chevis
Strong; Messrs. Lewis Gay, May
nard Alexander, Emmett Irwin
and Foy Haynes. OK. (

A Demonstration of What Cham

“One of our customers, a highly
respected citizen of this place, had
been for ten years a sufferer from
chronic diarrhoea,” writes Walden
& Martin, druggists, of Enterprise,
Ala. “He had used various patent
preparations and been treuted by
physicians without any permanent
benefit. A few months ago he
commenced taking Chamberlain’s
Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Rem

ly cured. Many citizens of Enter
prise who know the gentleman will
testify to the truthfulness of this
statement.” For sale by L. C

A disordered stomach may cause
no end of trouble. When the stomach
fails to perform its functions the
bowels become deranged, the liver
and kidneys congested, causing
numerous diseases, the most fatal of
which are painless and therefore
the more to be dreaded. The im
portant thing is to restore the stom
ach and liver to a healthy condition,
and for the purpose no better prep
aration can be used than Chamber
lain’s Stomach and Liver Tablets.
