city Monday.

Mr. Alonzo Mitchell and Miss Daisy j
Temple, of Glendale, were out riding
Sunday afternoon.
Mr Jonah Berry, and little broth
er, George, made a flying trip to the
county capital Monday. \
Messrs. Lura and Harmon Willis/
were smiling on the fair sex at,
Glendale Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Will Lewis, wife and baby, of
this place, attended Sunday school at
Glendale Sunday afternoon. j
Mr. R. G. Berry is attending courts
this week. Guess Judge Worrill is,
having his “say” these days.
Mr. Ed McDowell attended the sing- j
mg at Langston Chapel and reported j
a glorious good time, as usual.

J. N. Widener, Sunday afternoon.
Misses Ella and Effie Lou Berry
spent Saturday evening very pleas
antly with Misses Irene and Eleon
George.
Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Widener, of
this place, visited the lavori‘s brother,
Mr. John Waller, of New Hope, Sun
day last.
Easter Lily, I think you may come
without fear now, as Easter is over—
that is if you escaped Mr. Jack Frost
Saturday morning.
Mr. Harry Chandler, of Blakely/
called on his best girl Saturday af
ternoon. Say, Harry, how do you
like sitting on door steps?
Mr. Jerry Craft and son, Jesse, of
Carnegie, we'-e pleasant visitors at
the home of Mr. J. L. Craft from Fri
day until Saturday of last week.
Easter was rather cool in these
parts, but it seemed like every one!
was enjoying themselves, as quite a j
number of young people out
driving.
Mrs. Chewning and little grand
daughter, Laura Widener, have been
pleasant visitors at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Zack Widener for the past
few weeks.
Misses Lola and Dahlia Widener,
Bessie Lewis, Messrs. Ed McDowell,
Collier Lewis and Bob Widener, call-
ed on the Misses Berry a short while
Sunday afternoon.
The farmers are all pretty well
pp in this section, but if it keeps on
''raining, it will put some of the far
mers out of business and “General
Green” will take the lead.

We are having some rainy weather
at this writing.
Mis 3 Ruby Rogers was out at Glen
dale Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kelleyhan were

Miss E-rue Pickle was on the streets
Sunday afternoon.
Mr. W. J. Blackburn’s mother is
rpending a few weeks with him at
fins writing.
Miss Bell Pool and mother are on
''the sick list this week. Hope they
will soon be all right again.
I see the good old farmers are go
ing right ahead with their crops in
this section. Wish them much suc
cess.
Messrs. Vester Blackburn and Bob
Pool went to see some girls Sunday
afternoon and found the gaite tied
with hay wire. Boys, look out, hay
wire is useful for a lot of things.
How was Easter with you all? 1
tell you. Old ’Gator did not havo
much of a time, for it was too cold
for him to catch himself any fish or
frogs and you all know he did not
enjoy himself much.
