Georgians will have an opportunity
on November 19th of voting for a
native Georgian for President who is
a real bona fide contender for the
Democratic nomination. It is con
ceded by all factions that William
Gibbs McAdoo is the leading Demo
i ratio candidate, and it is to be hoped
i bat Georgia will lend her overwhelm
ing endorsement to his candidacy in
the preferential primary on the 19th
day of this month.

Mi 1 . Vanderlip has spoken again,
lie conies out and says that the
President has asked for Attorney
General Daugherty's resignation, and
ihat it was refused. Not having
forgotten what a "mule” he made
of himself some weeks ago in his
Unkind references to a dead Presi
dent based upon mere rumors, the
people of this nation will not put
a great deal of credence in any of
the millionaire banker’s talk, unless
he backs it up with proof. In pass
ing, however, it might be remarked
that the Attorney General’s resigna
tion would relieve his chief of a
groat deal of future embarrassment.

THE HOME OWNER.
“A family that owns its home
takes a pride in it. maintains it bet
ter, gets more pleasure out of it.
and has a more wholesome, healthful
and happy atmosphere in which to
bring up children. The home owner
has a constructive aim in life. He
works harder outside his home; he
spends his leisure more profitably,
and he and his family live a finer
life and enjoy more of the comforts
and cultivating influences of our
modern civilization. A husband and
wife who own their home are more
apt to save. They have an interest
in the advancement of a social sys
tem that permits the individual to
store up the fruits of his labor. As
direct taxpayers they take a more
active part in local government. Above
all, the love of home is one of the
finest instincts and the greatest in
spiration of our people.” —Herbert
Hoover.

A. E. Weeks, scenic artist, says:
Ever since I had the flu, colds have
settled in my kidneys. These organs
acted irregularly and I had to get
up often at night to pass the kidney
secretions, which were scanty and
off color. Dizzy spells were frequent
and at times everything appeared
black and seemed to be whirling.
My back was lame and there was a
dull, pounding ache in my kidneys.
Whenever I stooped, a catch seized
me in my back and I had a time of
it to straighten. I used Doan’s Pills
and they cured me of the attack.”
