PlThe Little Voice frorrTj
I the Hilton Circuit. j
“And he said unto them, render
therefore unto Caesar the things
which bo Caqsar’B and unto God
the things which be God’s.”
At this point we notice that Jesus
was teaching in the temple and
preaching the gospel to them, for he
had just passed through Jericho, and
as he came near and beheld the
city and wept over it He spoke of
what was hid from their eyes and
the peace that they did not have.
It was his last trip through there.
There was an objection to Him be
muse His disciples began to rejoice
and praise God and the objectors
wanted them to keep quiet. And
Jesus told them that spake to him,
“I tell you that if these should hold
their peace, the stones would imme
diately cry out.” So whenever you
find the word ‘‘therefore” used, it
will lead you back to some point of
the same person that taught the
same way in another place, for you
will notice this was spoken on one
of those days. Luke 20:1.
You can readily see that there
had been much joy in the city, for
much time had transpired since The
Voice had been heard in the cool of
the day crying out, even before, say
ing: ‘‘When the morning stars sang
together and all the sons of God
shouted for joy.” Genesis 3:8-9 and
Job 38:7. Could anything keep
these happy ones from praising God?
No, I will answer, for 1 can say that
I am happy when alone with Him.
Can you? This Voice is still calling
sinners to repentance and many dis
senting voices are being raised up
against it, but every knee must
bend and every tongue must confess
that He is Lord of Lords and King
of Kings, and you can see that they
•already have by their arguments.
Even our coins have His image on
them, and "not one jot or one title
shall in no wise pass from the law
till all be fulfilled,” Mat. 3:18. Jesus
has said this and it can not be
changed, so any one that is not will
ing to submit to the truth can not
be saved, for He is the truth. John
14:6.
This Little Voice is one eternal
ringing out lo all. It spoke, saying
“Let us make man.” Genesis 1:26.
Ages ago it spoke back from the
earth saving “Thy brother's blood
erieth as a witness." Genesis 4:10. It
still hunted the prophet after he
had faced the king and told him
of liis wrongs. Getting scared of a
threat made by the King’s wife, it
called him from his sleep and said
“Here is a cake and a cruse of wa
ter, eat and drink and go in its
strength for 40 days, because the
journey is too great.” He craw-led in
a cave and hid and The Voice said,
“What doest thou here?” 1 Kings
19:4-7-8.
Have you ever heard it? 1 trust
that you have, and if you have not,
listen! It is calling you. It said.
"Lazarus, come forth.” John 10:43.
Also said. ‘‘Father, forgive them.”
Luke 23:34. And said "I live, ye
shall live also.” John 14:19. This is
the voice that 1 have been writing
of. It said, “Render unto Caesar
the things which be Caesar's, and un
to God the things which be God's.”
