K. Dejar nette, president of the Peanut Co- Operative Association, will speak in Blakely at 3 o’clock tomorrow (Fri day) afternoon at the court house. All members of the Association and all others who ought to be members of the Association are urged to be present and hear Mr. DeJarnette’s address. Mr. DeJarnette will give an inter esting account of the Association’s first year’s operations and has a message concerning the future that is well worth hearing. HAD A BIG DAY SUNDAY The Blakely Baptist Sunday school had a great rally day last Sunday. There was a total attendance of 357 and the collection reached the hand some sum of $364 plus. The friendly contest between the Business Men's Class and the Young Men’s Bible Class resulted in a victory for the young men as to numbers in attendance and for the business men as to finances. There were 78 present in the young men's class and 55 in the business men’s class. The challenge of the business men to the young men navtng been to excel in both numbers and fi nances, it is up to the business men to stage a banquet for their successful rivals. A similar contest between the T. E. L. and Dorcas Class resulted in a victory for the Dorcas Class. The Sunday School program wasn't EARLY COUNTY NEWS concluded until 11:20, so the pastor called off the regular morning ser mon. A MISLEADING STATEMENT. The News is in receipt of the fol lowing letter from Mr. T. E. Grier: Editor Early County News: Last week’s News reports "that sand and lumber had been placed and work will begin on the Rock- Hilton Consolidated School building within the next few days.” There has never been a Roek-Hilton Consolidated School District in Early county, neither has there been any sand or lumber placed on the ground for the construction of such a build ing in Early county by that name, neither have the trustees agreed on the Waters Ford site. We have a Rock Hill Consolidated School District and it will be known by that name at least thirty years. T. E. GRIER.
