RANDOM NOTES.
By Old Caetar.
“The other night I saw a light,
A star as bright as day;
And all along I heard a song
From shepherds on their way
To Bethlehem, to see the child
That in a manger was born;
From hills afar they saw the star,
They knew that Christ had come.” ;
This will not reach the public!

kj.ow 1 ow far these gifts of love;
v/' l h towards the starting anew]
in life’s work by some one who is;

gift will become a wonderful power
for Jesus. Let every one try to [
do something for the Master by
helping the needy with a good, sub
stantial gift—not some little bauble
of no value. Let us on this day
show our appreciation of the great
gift of God in His son, Jesus, which
no gift we could make would in the
least part equal. It is not always
money that is needed—-a cheerful
word, a pleasant smile, a loving hand
clasp will often turn the dark and
dreary road into a bright and happi
ly-lighted pathway of glory and hap
piness. Let Sowhatchee church, the
Sunday school and B. Y. P. U. spend
their Christmas holidays in making
some one happy.
A happy greeting to the News

long years in its usefulness and a
great light to its many readers.
