tle son, Billie, attended the funeral
of their kinsman, Dr. Peters, in
Waycross, Monday. His death oc
curred Sunday afternoon.

was a visitor in Blakely Wednes
day.

Judge J. W. Bonner presided for
Judge C. C. Bush in Miller county
city court Monday. Due to illness
of local attorneys, Judge Bonner
adjourned court Monday afternoon
to December 28.
Mr. W. 0. (“Buck”) Thompson
suffered a dislocation and fracture
of his left elbow when he was
thrown from a horse last Sunday.
After receiving treatment from a
local physician, Mr. Thompson is re
ported as doing as well as could be
expected.
Rev. S. B. King spent from Mon
day until Wednesday in Atlanta in
attendance upon a meeting of the
executive committee of the Georgia
Baptist Convention. Mrs. King and'
little grandson, Cecil Duncan, who
accompanied him, will remain with
relatives in Jonesboro until Saturday.

us to do our very best in praying,
serving, giving and living as we feel
a true, loyal member should.
