Lucy Webb, well-known Negro
woman, died at her home in the
northwestern part of the city Mon
day night. Lucy was 80 years old
and was held in high esteem by

As this is written, the services in
progress in our church are being well
attended and Rev. Harry V. Smith
is bringing us some good messages.
We call upon all our people to be
much in prayer that the REVIVAL,
so greatly needed, may be ours.
Brother Smith will continue with us
through Sunday, preaching every
morning 7:10 to 7:45 and every
evening at 7:45. On Sunday the
Sunday School is at 9:45 and the
preaching service in the forenoon is
at 11. Training Unions at 6:30, and
preaching again at 7:45.
The Woman’s Missionary Society
meets at 3:00 at the church. The
Sunbeams in their rooms at the
church; the Junior G. A. meets with
Joyce Hooten; the Royal Ambassa
dors with Olen and Ollin Goocher,
all at 3:00.
Midweek Prayer Meeting at the
church on Wednesday at 8:00, and
through the mid-summer months our
regular hour for the night services
will be eight o’clock.
