BOBCATS CLOSE SEASON
FRIDAY AGAINST FAST
ATTAPULGUS TEAM
A fast and stubborn little West
Bainbridge team outplayed the Bob
cats here last Friday night and took
a listless ball game from the ’Cats,
9-6. Blakely’s only score came on a
long run by “Man” Nobles, who gal
loped across to pay dirt.
Tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at
3 o’clock, E. S. T., the Bobcats close
out the regular playing season
against the up and coming Attapul
gus boys, who defeated the Cuthbert
Purple Hurricane 25-24 last Friday
afternoon. The game will be played
in the afternoon due to the ban on
use of electric power for night
amusements. This game should rate
as one of the best of the season, as
the Bobcats will be giving their all
in an attempt to get in the play
off which begins next Friday. Col
quitt and Attapulgus now lead the
pack, with West Bainbridge, Cuth
bert, Fort Gaines and Blakely all
tied for third place. Dawson is
bringing up the rear, with two wins
and four defeats.
Coach Hammack urges a large at
tendance for Friday’s game. He has
developed some new plays and a
new line of strategy in an effort to
take this final game and get in the
play-off.
