FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT was re
elected president in Tuesday's election
by the largest majority in the nation's
history. He defeated Gov. Landon of
Kansas, carrying 46 of the 48 states,
losing in only Maine and Vermont.

THE BOBCATS of Blakely defeated
Camilla Hi 8 to 0 in last Friday's
game.

THE Democratic ticket received 1107
votes to 46 for the Republicans in
Tuesday's election.

CHARLES E. DEWS, a former resi
dent of Blakely, has been appointed
Judge of the City Court of Calhoun
county by Governor Eugene Talmadge.

Dubose, a distance of approximately
235 feet, more or less, to an iron
stake located at the Northwest corner
of said Dubose lot; thence run in a
northerly direction along the East line
of lands formerly owned by W. L.
Rhodes, a distance of 133 feet, more
or less, to an iron stake and to the
intersection of lot of Mrs. Robert Hall;
thence run in an easterly direction

of Mrs. Robert Hall, a distance of 235
feet, more or less, to an iron stake
located at the Southeast corner of resi
dence lot of Mrs. Robert Hall on the
West margin of South Main Street;
thence run South along the West mar
gin line of South Main Street, a dis

of beginnindg. The above described lot
being bounded as follows: on the North

owned by Estate of J. A. Hammack;
and on the East by South Main Street.

corner of the Mrs. Otis Scarborough
lot where the Southeast corner of
Scarborough lot ,‘E)ins the Northeast
corner of the Dr. E. P. Whitehead lot,
and run north along the East line of
ilot of Mrs. Otis Scarborough, a dis
‘tance of 100 feet; thence continuing
North to the I. J. Tooke lot; thence
East along the South side of Tooke
lot 50 feet, more or less, to the J. A.
Hammack lot; thence South along the
West boundary of J. A. Hammack
residence lot a distance of 100 feet,
more or less, to the Dr. E. P. White
head lot; thence West along the North
side of Dr. B. P. Whitehead lot to
point of beginning, a distance of 50
feet. more or less. Bounded as follows:
on the South by Dr. E. P. Whitehead
lot; on the West by Mrs. Otis Scar
borough lot; on the North by I J.
Tooke lot, and on the East by J. A.
Hammack residence lot, being tge same
land conve{sd in that certain warranty
deed from W. L. Rhodes to J. A. Ham
mack, dated March 22, 1941, and re
corded March 22. 1941, in Deed Book

ords. is conveyance of Tract No. 2
shall be construed to include only
Member’s one-third (1) interest there
in.
WHEREAS, said security deed was
executed to secure a note of even
date therewith, amount, terms, and
stipulations, all as shown by said se
curity deed recorded in Deed Book
72, pafea 57 and 58, in the office of
the Clerk of the Superior Court of
!larli'l Countg'. Georgia.
WHEREAS, the grantor in said se
curity deed in favor of Home Federal
Savinfi and Loan Association of Al
bany has failed to comply with the
terms of that deed in the payment of
the obligation secured thereby, and
said obligation has become in default
as to both firincég_al and interest.
NOW, THEREFORE. according to
the original terms of said securitg' deed
and the law in such cases made and
‘ frowded. the undersigned, as attorneys
for Home Federal Savings and Loan
Association of Albany, will expose
for sale to the highest bidder for cash
the above-described land. after proper
advertisement, on the first Tuesday
in December, 1961, between the legal
hours of sale, before the courthouse
door in Early County, Georgia. The
proceeds of said sale will be used first
| to the payment of the indebtedness to
|the Home Federal Savings and Loan
Association secured by said security
deed, principal, interest and expenses,
and the balance, if any, delivered to
the said Mrs. Ma?' Jane Hammack.

Early County, Georgia, and against
