Cadet James Franklin Pickle, a
North Georgia College student from
Blakely, has been promoted to Ser
geant in the Cadet Corns for thie 1962+
63 academic year, He wil]l serve as a
Squad Leader in Company “C”. This
promotion was recommended by the
Professor of Military Science and ap
proved by the President of North
Georgia College,

Family Reunion Held
At Camp Hicita
The Pierson-Brown Family Reun
ion was held at Camp Hicita, Kolo
moki State Park, Sunday October 14,
with over one hundred fifty attend
ing.
? A business session was held prior to
‘the dinner, William A. Cian of Ca
milla acted as president and plans
were made for a reunion to be held
at Kolomoki next year. Ray Knight
was elected vice vnresident; Mrs. E. A.
Pumphrey of Donalsonville, is secre
tary.
Mrs. Maude Cox of Blakely was
the oldest member of the Pierson-
Brown family present at the reunion.
Mrs. Odell Henderson, of Dade City.
Fla., came the fartherest distance. The
guest who came the fartherest was
Harold Kaufman, of Portland, Oregon,
a guest of Miss Beverly Pierson.
The Rev. Billy Hill, of Reynolds,
Ga., gave the invocation.
